Hi guys!
Welcome back to blog assignment #3! For this post I got read a very emotional story called A Fable for the Living (Kevin Brockmeier). I totally recommend reading if you would like to cry! It is about a wife who is writing letters to heal herself. Now with that being said I was also asked to write a letter to my authors self and relate it to the story. Dear Myranda, How are you? Haven’t spoken to you in awhile. Hey, I know we don’t talk as much but maybe we should. Maybe we should talk everyday. Maybe it can be good for the soul. When it comes to talking with each other, I just never know what to say. It is always seems to be awkward between us. When we speak it always feels forced. See like right now I don’t know what to say to you because we have drifted so far apart. And I feel like that is my fault and I am truly sorry. But we are going to fix that. You see from now on I am going to go buy a journal and we are going to talk everyday. But you have to help and remind me! I can’t be the only one talking. I am going to tell you about my day and maybe we can fix this awkwardness between us. Here is my 3 step plan on making this better. First I am going to go to Target and buy a journal. Then I am going to write in this journal everyday and tell you about the good and the bad. And lastly were are going to fix this relationship! No more awkwardness and no more silence. We are gonna become best friends and I can’t wait to get to know you more. To my long lost friend.. I miss you and can’t wait to see you again. Sincerly, Hailey

I appreciate how this letter uses motivational and frank language to connect with your author-self.

Target is one of my favorite stores lol. They have the best items and their journals are super cute.
